Digitary is delighted to announce the completion of contracts with Australian National University as currently, the Australian National University is the top ranking institution in Australia and sits comfortably within the top 20 institutions in the world. They will use the Digitary system to issue the new Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement, which is being launched as the Australian equivalent of the European Diploma Supplement, as well as electronic testamurs and transcripts.
Digitary entered the Australian market in mid 2009 and started working with the Australian National University shortly after to assist them with the implementation of their Graduation Statement process. This followed the announcement by the Minister for Education, Julia Gillard MP, that all Australian Universities must offer Graduation Statements to allow Australian qualifications to become more portable and their value more transparent.
The win was a coup for Digitary who, with the assistance of Enterprise Ireland, were able to respond to the Department of Education’s new requirement with no local companies offering this type of technology.
Jonathan Dempsey, CEO of Digitary, has now been invited by the federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations to present to a selection of other universities at a series of workshops on the Graduation Statement where he will outline how Digitary can work for them.
