For its first installed site in Australia, Lincor has teamed up with the Sydney based Systems Integrator, Ethan Group to deliver MEDIVista to PresCare, one of Australia’s leading aged care providers.
For close to 80 years Prescare has been dedicated to aged care excellence and PresCare’s newest site in Carina, Brisbane, Queensland is a state of the art facility with 154 luxury residences for the aged.
The challenge PresCare faced in selecting the technology that residents would interact with, was to provide a user interface which was intuitive and easy to use, while at the same time providing a range of services such as Television, Movie On Demand, Internet, Educational Content, plus information about PresCare activities and religious services including a Chapel TV application for residents. Equally important was the ability of physicians and care givers to securely access applications for daily care giving duties. Smart Card access initiates a secure Citrix session allowing care givers access their electronic tools at the point of care.
MEDIVista allows PresCare deliver both patient entertainment services, and a secure access method to clinical tools for staff using one device, and a single unified software platform.
Currently delivering Free-To-Air television on 15.4” bedside terminals the next stage for Lincor and PresCare is to deliver Foxtel Pay TV as a service. Some residents also enjoy watching TV and Movie-On-Demand content on large screen plasma TVs, with all devices controlled by the MEDIVista back office.
Flexible billing solutions from Lincor allow PresCare the ability to monitor payments in real time, and enable or disable services as required on a weekly basis in accordance with policy.
